Free the WM3!!!

It is unsettling that in this day and age we still must fear "witch hunts" in the United States. If you are unfamiliar with the case of which I speak, you should visit Free the West Memphis Three. I remember seeing the orginal documentary Paradise Lost: The Robin Hood Hills Murders several years ago on HBO. My fellow 13 year old psuedo lesbian activist friends and I would talk for weeks about the crazy injustice served- mostly because we were very much like Damien, Jessie, and Jason. We were outcasts. We were the black-clothing-spell-casting satanists of Smithville, TN. Before the wm3 trials, Our local newspaper did a story on the "outbreak of witchcraft" within DeKalb County High School, quoting titles of books that I carried in my backpack every day. (Such as To Ride A Silver Broomstick and Wicca, A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner) We laughed at the ignorance of our little town, not realizing how the silly ignorance could blow out of control. The Three have spent over a decade in prison, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about them every day. Their story haunts me as if I could be looking at the other side-what could have been if I had chosen to learn that cruel lesson in this life.
